Hyundai Kona Electric Price: Hyundai has priced the Kona Electric between Rs 23.77 lakh and Rs 24.96 lakh (ex-showroom Delhi).
Seating Capacity: It is a five seater.
Battery and Motor: Hyundai offers the Kona Electric with a 39.2kWh battery pack, paired to an electric motor with an output of 136PS and 395Nm. It delivers an ARAI-tested range of 452km and takes just 9.7 seconds to sprint from 0 to 100kmph.
Electric Charging: The 50kW fast charger can charge the battery to 80 percent in 57 minutes. The 7.2kW AC wall-box charger for home installation takes 6 hours 10 minutes for a full charge. It also comes with a small, portable 2.8kW charger that can be plugged into a regular wall socket to fully charge the Kona Electric in around 19 hours.
Electric Driving Modes: It uses a single speed transmission. Driving characteristics can be toggled via Eco, Eco+, Comfort and Sport modes. Paddles are made available behind the steering wheel to control the level of regenerative braking.
Electric Features: The carmaker offers the EV with a sunroof, auto AC, wireless phone charging, ventilated front seats, rear AC vents, and cruise control. Additional features include 10-way power-adjustable driver’s seat with lumbar support, 17-inch alloy wheels, LED bi-functional headlamps, LED DRLs, LED tail lamps, and roof rails.
Electric Safety: Hyundai has equipped the Kona Electric with six airbags, vehicle stability management, electronic stability control, hill assist control, disc brakes on all four wheels, ISOFIX child seat anchorage, a rear camera as well as a tyre pressure monitoring system. It also has a virtual engine sound system to warn pedestrians of the silent EV.
